My Pendleton was Jerry Pendleton. He was supposedly born in VA, but was living in KY in 1882 when my grandmother, Sarah Francis "Fanny" Yeizer was born. Jerry Pendleton was Indian, probably Chickasaw and took his name from "a kind man whose house he painted in KY." Before 1890 Jerry and his daughter "Fanny" were living in Cinncinnati, OH. By 1892, Fanny was in Chicago, married to Austin H. Yeizer. I don't know what became of Jerry Pendelton after that.
I am interested in any information anyone may have on this Pendleton Family. I don't know what Jerry's Indian name was before he took the name Pendleton.
