Hi, I am trying to trace my grandfather William Howdle Parker who dissappeared without trace in Western Australia 1922 3 months before my father was born. He was born 16th July 1893 in Leeeds Yorkshire England -Father Frank Fox Parker- Mother Margaret Parker Nee Stubbs.the family originated from Hemmimgborough Yorkshire England His family emigrated to Australia 1911 taking his siblings James Herbert, Florence May and Ada louise with them.William remained in leeds and joined the Scots Guards. He fought throughout ww1 and service records show he had a gun shot wound through his nose and a tattoo on his right forearm of an anchor. He married my grandmother Alice Calder in Scotland in 1918. They emigrated to Perth and befor my father was born he deserted her around march 1922. Any connections out there ???? It would be great to hear of near/distant family members Hopefully waiting Shelagh Wootten (Nee Parker)
