I have a unique situation...both of my grandparents were Murrays...one from Ireland, and one from Scotland. They settled in the Long Island area. My great grandfather Patrick owned a small grocery in Glen Cove in the 1920's, and he was married to Katherine Downing (Kate). Both were Irish immigrants, whom met and married after coming to the US. My other great grandfather was Robert Service Murray, married to Mary McKim. They married in Scotland and came to Canada and later to NY, also the Glen Cove area. Mary had a travel agency and cleaning service. My grandfather, Robert Murray, the son of Patrick and Kate, was editor of the Glen Cove Record in the 50's and 60's. I have some family research that goes back overseas on the Irish branch of this family, but have very little on the Scottish side. Any help appreciated.
