Hello to all of you,
My name is Jim (James E.) Mount. From time to time, I have tried to trace my ancestry back at least to the point when they arrived here in the USA. I have "found you" on the internet and I thought I would try to contact any and all of you to introduce myself and see if we have information to share. My background is as follows:
1. I was born in Chicago, IL on 13 January, 1942 to Marvin J. and Anne F. (Kohnke) Mount.
2. Marvin is one of four sons born to Daniel D. and Mary Eva (Fitzpatrick) Mount. He was born in Chicago on 2 January, 1912 and died in Port Charolette, FL, on 17 October, 1974.
3. Daniel is the son of Goodlet and Matilda (Adams) Mount and was born In Pike County, Indiana, on 30 September, 1878.
4. Goodlet Mount was born in Pike County, Indiana, in March, 1845 to James M. and Mary (Miley) Mount. He married Matilda Adams who was born in Indiana in January, 1846.
5. James M. Mount was born in Indiana about 1815 and married Mary Miley in Pike County, Indiana, on 26 September, 1840.
I have not been able to trace my ancestry back beyond James M. Mount. I would appreciate any information you may have on this subject. If any of this is news to you, please feel free to contact me for additional information. Best regards, Jim.
