I am trying to find the parents of Caleb Moore b. 1817 somewhere in Va. He is found in Gallia County in 1834 married to a Rebecca Walter.
A family "story" is that his father was George Washington's footman or stable hand and his mother was a cook in the home... no clear evidence of this is found.
I would really like to find his parents.
