Can anyone confirm or dispute the ancestral line of Edward Moore of Orange Co NC
(father of George Moore of Grayson Co. VA) b. 1768 & died 1826. who migrated
to Surry Co. NC. He was married to Martha (searching for her maiden name). Apparently,
this Edward Moore's parents were Edward of NJ, b. 1725 who married Martha Thompson,
& migrated to Orange Co NC & d. in 1783 (See Will abstracts 1783 MOORE,
EDWARD, James, William, Elizabeth, Susanna and Edward, the North Carolina Wills
M.page 194). This Edward of Bergen, NJ was the son of the original 'Edward' who
immigrated from Wales to N.J. in 1695 & died in Granville NC 1744 (the North
Carolina Wills, 1774 MOORE, EDWARD: William, James, Dinah, Edward, Richard, Elizabeth,
Samuel, Dempsey, Noah, Elijah, John, the North Carolina Wills.M. page 129). Thank
