My Merry descendants originate from Maryport in Cumberland (now Cumbria) in England. Anne Merry daughter of Thomas and Anne Merry (noted to be a mariner) know nothing more on the couple, eloped to Annan in Dumfrieshire, Scotland in 1815 and married my direct ancestor, Ezekial Walker.
