Adams County, Pa, Rev. George W. McSherry was pastor at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bendersville, PA. His faher, Michael McSherry operated a cigar manufacturing plant in New Berlin, PA. Searching for information along this line which might go into the Quaker community, ultimately to Patrick Michael McSherry of Mcsherrystown. Information gained so far is from the book, History of Cumberland and Adams Counties, PA 1886, Chicago Warner, Beers and Co. Press.
