My name is Sam McBee (sammcbee@hal-pc.org). I just went to my grandmother's funeral (Tina Mae McBee - Aubrey M McBee's wife). After searching at www.google.com for my great great grandfather (George Lafayette's father) "George Lawrence McBee" I found this URL:

My name is Peggy Cheryl McBee Bassett and I have just begun my "Great McBee Search". I have little information at this point and would appreciate any information any of you other McBee researchers may have.
My great grandfather was George Lafayette McBee. He died April 12, 1939 and is buried near Eastland, TX in Flatwood Cemetary. He was married to Gennevia Smith (died in the early 1950s and also buried in Flatwoods Cemetary). They had seven children: Floyd, Lawrence, Aubrey, Clyde, Therron, Gussie, Earl Lonzo (my grandfather) b. 1 May 1908 in Mangum, TX.; d. 31 May 1990, Odessa, TX. My grandfather told me that George Lawrence McBee came to Texas from Tennessee but he did not know when, or from where in Tennessee, he came.
If any of you have any information on this line of the McBees, please let me know."
