I have May (Maye, Mey, Meye) family info from my line going back to app. 1533 in Rushden, Northhamptonshire, England. If anyone is interested I'd be happy to send the line. Two generations of the family lived in Lisbon, Portugal as factors in the port wine export business. In 1775 my 3x great grandfather Joseph May, bought an estate in Hampshire that still stands, although not in the family. Another ancestor (not my line) gambled it away. My great grandfather, William Henry Joseph May came to Canada in the 1840s, then migrated to Wisconsin. Let me know if I can help anyone. I know Rushden is not far from Nottinghamshire.
