searching origins of Peter who was a founding member of city of Halifax Nova Scotia. Received many land and fishing grants. Started huge line of Martins especially in Ketch Harbour Nova Scotia. Believed to be retired military man as never had to pay for much and so many military groups help to clear the land and build fort for Cornwallis and british government. Suspected was of Galway Martins,(have losts of research on Martin name down from St. Martin and splitting in to Irish and English factions) and possibly Berkshire England Martins who married into the famous Talbot(Arundel) family....thanks
