I am descended from Alice Martin, who was hung in Massachusetts in 1648 as a witch after murdering her four year old daughter. Such distinction. I have found verification of this in early colonial records. I have a question about her ancestry, however. In several Gedcom I have found her parents named as Christopher Martin and Marie Prower, who came over on the Mayflower and died very soon thereafter. They had a son named Nathaniel who didn't survive very long either, but Alice is never mentioned. I know sometimes teenage daughters came over later, but I have not discovered any verification of when she came, or if indeed she is a daughter of Christopher and Marie Martin. Is anyone out there related to this Martin? Would you have information about her or suggestions of where to go from here?
