First of all: Excuse my English.
My name is Erhard Leach; I am living in a small town called Ringkoebing on the west coast of Jutland in the kingdom of Denmark.
My grandparents came to Denmark from England in 1883, my grandfather’s name was William Leach and my grandmother’s name was Jane Pilkington. William was born in a small village in the area around Andover, Nether Wallop, in the Southern part of England.
My grandmother was from Cork in Ireland, they meet each other in Belfast and was married in Cork in Ireland in 1881.
William was hired by the Danish count Mogens Friis to take care of his many horses at his estate in Denmark. My grandparents had 11 children; they died in a Danish town called Holstebro in 1935 and 1936. – I am son of Herman George Leach. I am in close contact with my family in USA, but I do not know anything about my family in England.
