I'm researching Caroline Catherine Lay born May 24, 1876 in Bush, Germany. I have also seen her name spelled Karolina Lay. I've found on ellisisland.com a Karolina Lay that came to America in 1892. This Karolina was 16 at the time she came - the same age as our Caroline would have been. Our Caroline Lay married August Sr. Hahn on June 11, 1898 in Peoria, IL. Are there any others working on either a Karolina or Caroline Lay about this time frame?
