I am attempting to track down my Keough Ancestors who were residing in Nova Scotia and other nearby Provinces of Canada in the mid to late 1800's.
All I have is an 1891 Census listing showing my great grandparents residing in Harbour au Bouche otherwise known as Havre Bouche, Nova Scotia.
I am not certain as the the correct spelling of my great grandmother's surname but her forename was Elizabeth. She was married to Duncan McDonald (a fisherman). Elizabeth was born in either 1859 or 1860. She was listed as 31 yrs. old in 1891 and Duncan aged 39 yrs. Their children were as follows: James 15 / Mary E. 12 / Daniel 09 / Catherine J. 08 / Angus 05 / Elizabeth M. 02 and Vencient 1.12
Note: Vencient should read as Vincent and I believe that his age should be just under 2 mos. old. My grandfather Vincent Joseph MacDonald was born April 01, 1891 and baptized on April 03rd of the same year at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Havre Bouche to parents Duncan & Elizabeth (nee: Kehoe/Keough or Keho)
I am quite certain that despite the few small discrepancies, this is my grandfather's parents & siblings. Elizabeth's maiden name was in fact Keough / Kehoe or variant spelling.
If you feel that there may be any connection at all to your folks or like me haven't a clue, please don't hesitate to contact me. Perhaps we can all benefit one way or another by comparing notes and passing the information on to others who are searching. Thankyou very much.
