Looking for information of ancestors of John James(?) Johnson of Augusta, Georgia. He married Sadie Crooks. Children were Charles Hansford Johson b. 12/24/1901(married Annie Mae Evans), John Johnson, Walter, Echol, Harry, Fred, Louise, Lillian and Nellie.

Have some anecdotal "oral" history which states that original immigrant from Sweden was Hansford (a family name) Johnson, who settled in Massasachusetts. Hansford was a furniture maker. who made furniture for the governor's mansion. John Johnson was a butcher.

Also have information that Sadie Crooks was related to Richard Crooks of New Jersey (26 Jun 1900 - 1972), the famous tenor.
