Looking for information about a Thomas Holeman/Holman (one of apparently many of that name), from NC, born ca. 1790-1800. He may have lived in KY for some time, having acquired a wife named, Levisa, or some version of that name, who was from KY. Her last name may have been Knapp?. By the late 1820s they were in Arkansas Territory, specifically in and around the Hot Springs area. Don't know his profession, but he served as a magistrate of Arkansas Territory for a while. They owned some land in Clark, Saline, and Hot Spring Counties. Their two sons were, Joseph (1836), and Thomas (1838). Joseph was my great-grandfather. Don't know what happened to Thomas. Did find a Confederate soldier from AR, named Thomas Holeman, who died in the Union prison in Alton, IL. Thomas and Levisa may have also had a daughter, Elizabeth Holman, who married a James L. Knapp in Saline Co., in 1844...the same year that Thomas Sr. died. The widow, Levisa, soon married a John Trammel Sr., and they were residing in Hempstead Co. in the 1850 census...but I lost track of them after that. Any help would be appreciated.
