i am trying to trace the decendants of Joseph Hill c. 1800 from Donaghenry near Cookstown in County Tyrone Northern Ireland. There were seven sons and three daughters. Most of the sons were in Boston at one time although some of them went back to live in Ireland. Andrew died in Boston apparently of wounds sustained in the civil war. He had around 13 children. Joseph died in Boston a bachelor in 1904. Francis was married to Mary FRANCES and they had a large family. I have found them in US Census from 1870-1930. Their children were James, Ella, Joseph, Robert,Mary J,Emma, Florence and David. Francis was an Engineer. Ella married Albion Elwell but this was her second marriage, I don't know who thew first husband was. Emma married someone Evans. Florence didn't marry. Collins went to Boston with his young wife and his daughter Martha Jane was born in 1872. His son was born in Philadelphia 1876. His wife either died in childbirth or shortly after her son was born. The children were sent back to Ireland to live with relatives and Collins went on with his businesses. He owned a bakery in Philadelphia and perhaps in Boston too. He also was partners in a silk factory with one of his nephews. I know this family must have decendants living still. I would love to hear from anyone who knows anything either in the US or in Ireland. Regards Carol
