I'm trying to locate more information on the ancestors of Eli HILL (b. 31 Mar 1822, in TN or AL; d. 06 Apr 1909, ?, DeKalb, AL; buried Fuller Cemetery, Ider, DeKalb, Alabama, USA) who married Margaret Frances LOWRY. I have some information that indicates his father was also Eli Hill (b. about 1780, ?, ?, NC; d. bet 1825-1872) and his mother was Elizabeth Hamilton (b. in MD or NC), but I have not been able to verify that or proceed back beyond this apparent genealogical wall. Anyone have the key? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks so much!
