Mary Louise Donnelly ("Colonial Settlers of St. Clement's Bay", 1995) has shown that one of William Hayden's wives, and mother of daughter Thomasin, was Anna Snowden, widow of William Rosewell. This is reinforced by the fact that the Hayden heirs were in possession of a tract called "Clarken" which was originally patented by William Rosewell and inherited into the Hayden line. She also believes that William Hayden's THIRD wife was Elizabeth Roach. Until now speculation was for Elizabeth Thompson or Elizabeth Clement. Can anyone offer convincing evidence to support either of those for William's third wife? Is it possible that Elizabeth Thomas or Thompson was William's first wife and mother of his oldest children: Charles, William & Grace?
