I am looking for my great-great grandfather, George Harris and his family before him. I am trying to find out his father and his father before him.

All I know is that George Harris was born in VA abt. 1812. He married Martha A. (Bowers...I think?). I know one daughter was born in VA. and a son, John born 1855 in ILL.

This family then moved to Schuyler County, MO. where my grandfather, Boyd Milton Harris was born. On a 1880 census for that county and state is recorded a grandson by the name of Vivian S. Harris living with George. I am trying to find out who Vivian's parents were too!
Also a Jesse L. (Ilepied?)-grandchild was recorded on another record.

Boyd later moved to Des Moines, Iowa and married Lena (Holtz). My father, Robert Harris was born in Des Moines, IA in 1909.
