Johan or John Hanson died by lightning strike in Sheldon, IA on 7/11/1884. John's father also killed by the same strike. John's father's name was either Hans W. Hanson or Hans Wilhelmson. My grandmother, Martha O. Hanson 1878-1962 married Gunnar M. Lunde. I am looking for ancestors on John's father's line. Hans W. Hanson married twice. John Hanson's mother was Ann Johanna Olson.
John's brother in law, Anton Olson survived the lightning strike and later made a written account of it. Anyone with more information please contact me. John Hanson is listed in 1880 census at Brooklyn, WI as head of household.
