There is a Marilla Hall listed as a Black Female 31 years old in 1900 in Jefferson County Alabama This has her birthday at Nov 1869. Unfortunately whoever did the scan it is blacked out at the bottom where her name is somewhat visible. The best I can read from this copy is that her father's last name was Townsend.
