Edgar Grover Greene (name on my mother's birth certificate) was my maternal grandfather. His nickname in the 1940s in Alabama was "Tony." We don't know if Edgar Greene was his real name. He met my grandmother, Thelma Ferrell at a boarding house they were staying in , in Mobile, AL. When my grandmother learned she was pregnant, they went to Sheffield, AL to live with her parents.
