Looking for any information on a William Green who fought in the Revolution War under General John Hathornes Regiment of Orange County New York.We know that William lived some of his life in Vernon N.J.(sussex county)around the years 1750-1780 and Warwick N.Y.(orange county)around the years of 1780-1800's. He moved back and forth between these two areas. We know that he had one son named Moses Green who was born Dec.12,1791. Moses married a Mary Sprague who was born Dec.21,1795. Her father was Captian John Sprague. They are buried in Longwell Cemetery at Vernon Crossing in Vernon Township, N.J.(sussex county). At one time there was a Peter N. Ryerson that occupied the home of William Green in Vernon, N.J. the Glenwood area about 1780 or before. If anyone knows anything about William or his family(wife, other children, were they are buried,ect.). If anyone has any old pictures of this family it would be greatly appreciated. You can E-mail me at AnnDoug@warwick.net or send the information to Doug Green at 85 1/2 Water Street Newton, N.J. 07860. If you can not reach me by E-mail send information to address above.
