Searching for a Michael Grant and wife Mary Carney Grant. Found them on an 1870 and the 1880 U.S. Census from Steele County, State of Minnesota. States that they came from Ireland, possibly Province of Munster, County of Cork. But not sure that Grant is an Irish surname???? They are my gggrandparents. They had six children: Patrick, Henry, Edward, Mary, Catherine, and Magy (Margeret?).
