Thank you for this posting. I am just starting my search for details of my Gordon family. My direct ancestor was Alexander Gordon of Cairnie, whose father was Patrick Gordon of Binhall. Patrick's brother was Henry/Harry the 6th. of Avochie.

Thank you for this inforamtion as I believe Jock Gordon is also an ancestor. I am very new to researching in Scotland and this will be very helpful.
