They had two known children: Mary Hannah b. 12 Apr 1823, Salt Grass, Milford, Hampshire and Charles, b. 23 Oct 1825 (died 24 Oct 1825), Petersfield, Hampshire.

26 August 1826 the elder Charles Gordon, acting Vice Consul in Haiti, dies of a fever and is buried in Port-au-prince.

The Gentleman's Magazine, the (London) Times, and the Aberdeen Journal all list his death but not what happens to his widow and infant daughter.
