Does anyone have information about my Grandfather, Charles William GORDON, born the son of John William Gordon, in Westminster, London in 1834? Charles was a Watchmaker/Jeweler who married twice.
1. in 1855 to Harriett ?? in Bromley, Kent.She died December 1867 in Bromley.
2. On 6th February 1869 to Eleanor Thompson in Bromley, Kent.
Charles had three daughters to Harriet:Emma;Alice & Harriet.
Charles was in the St.Peter Port Hospital during the 1881 Census and it seems that he died there soon afterwards, possibly from TB.
Searches after 1881 have proved fruitless.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
