I have been researching our family name which includes all of the variants Gavin,Gaven O,gavan etc, of the original O,Gabhrainn which is Irish and originated from two kings in Ireland the name is mostly now known in county Mayo Ireland and of course the name has emigrated to many other countries in the world.
My interest is in Australia and Ireland and to that end I keep all references that I find on my travels to Ireland and here in Australia and am very happy to assist others in their search for their origins if possible.
