Hello Marilyn,

My great uncle was Meyer Friend who lived in Ravenna, NE ca. 1887-1892. He moved to Fostoria, OH in 1892 or 1893 with his wife and daughter. The daughter died of diphtheria in 1893. U don't know what happened after that. My grandfather, Henry Friend was also in Ohio about that time, but he is listed in the 1900 census in NYC with his family. Meyer was too young to be the man you seek. However, if you happen to find any information about my Meyer, I would appreciate hearing from you.
