James was born in New York, Kings County, abt. 1853-55. He also went by just ANSEL and he had a middle name of "BONE". We don't know where that came from. On his death certificate it states James A. Freeman. Parents are listed as unknown. He married Catherine Cunningham and they lived in New Haven, Ct. They are both buried there. He died about 50-55 years old and his wife 6 months earlier. My grandmother's name was MABLE (MAE) FREEMAN, b. 1893 in New Haven, Ct. She married ALBERT HEMINGWAY.
I am at a loss with this great grandparent. I am told his family is also from NY, but no records on them.
