Looking for solid confirmation that Green C. was the son of James (b.1785 in Iredell, N.C. d.1860)
and Jane Patterson (b. 1789 d. 8/12/52 in Buncombe, N.C.) Some sources list Green C. as having a brother: Peter P. Freeman (b. 1816)

1880 census shows Green C. as being born in 1827.
He married Sarah Parker in 1849. In 1880 he and his family were living in War Eagle, Ark. I have documentation showing Green C.'s civil war service. Among Green C.'s children: Alfred H. b. 1859 in Ky. Alfred H. was my great grandfather.
