We have traced ourselves back to Franklin Freeman, born August 5, 1818 in Leesville, Louisiana. He died on February 26, 1907. All the generations following him are recorded and well documented. But who came before him is a mystery. We are not sure if we are Freemans from England or if Freeman is an "americanized" corruption of French "Fremon"
