Since posting this message, I have learned that Lena's parents were Archibald & Frances Bowers of Carroll Co., VA. She married Kennard Franklin, Sr and had 3 children, Kennard, Jr. b. 1927, Margaret Frances, b. 1918 and daughter, Roma J., b. 1922. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
