I have been bashing the proverbial head against the brick wall for several years on this one and it is time to ask for help.

My line of Fosters in the last two generations has a William Foster b1754 in Lincolnshire and had a son by the name of William b1790 in New Sleaford, Lincs. William jnr married a Sarah Tomlin and had 6 known children.
Son of William jnr, Thomas Foster married an Anne Jenkinson and eventually emmigrated to Australia.

Question: Can anyone help me with detail on William Foster Snr and where did the family come from as details on Fosters, Foresters and Forsters that will link in Lincs is not easy to find
