The "brick wall" may have a crack in it! Thanks to D. Anderson, there is a marriage bond between Darlin Flours(Flowars) and Margrett Petty 20Aug.1844 listed in Lincoln Co.NC. Bondsman: Henery (Henry?) Flours (Flowars).It matches 1850-60 Gaston Co. census info re Darling Flowers/Margaret Petty.(Gaston Co. was part of Lincoln Co. prior to 1846). Are these alternative spellings German? What would be the likely religion? Is anyone else researching this Flowers line? I have some information on Darlings' descendents and would be glad to share.
