I am not sure how far everyone has gotten in there research, but according to all the info I have found on the net there was a common EATON in England, and from there became 3 branches and came to the USA.
There is some question of validity, but a possibility that all EATONs are related to William FITZ ALAN, brother of Walter FITZ ALAN- 1st Steward of England and the start of the Stuart line.
In my research I have gotten back to William EATON and Jane HUSSEY which are listed as decendants of FITZ ALAN in most geneology works. I am working on verifying whether or not the line is proveable.
