He was also my grandfather, thru his son Harvey 1802-1880,his son Alexander b.1850, his son Samuel1880-1963, his son James Edward Doty 1924-2006 and his son (me) Danny Lee Doty 1948-
I live in Denison,Texas. My grandfather was the second son of the second wife(Ester Jane Davis) of Alexander and came to Texas with his brother Issac in about 1890-92. They also had a sister Sarah Ann. The came from Laclede county, Missouri. They came alone. We don't know why.
