I am looking for info (either new or to confirm what I think I already know) about Charles Oscar Doty. This is what I know so far: he was born about 1844 because he shows as 6 yrs old on the 1850 census in Clinton, Calhoun, MI. By the 1880 census he was married to Eva Whitaker and they were living with Eva's father, Alpheus Whitaker. I believe Charles was born in Steuben Co, NY. The 1850 census shows Charles father as Amasa Doty.
