My name is Amy Dennis Goosey. My great great grandfather is listed as being born in North Carolina on several census records and South Carolina on one. I do know that he was born in 1803. He migrated to St. Clair County, Illinois at about the age of 16 or 17 according to land purchases I have found. He married Cecelia Cox who went by Celia in 1830 and they migrated to Pike County Illinois where their children were born. Some time between 1850 and 1860, they migrated to Knox County, Saltriver Township, Missouri where he died in 1872. Does anyone have any information on his family in North Carolina or South Carolina?
