I am looking for information on my ancestor Levi Dement. He was born sometime between 1800 and 1810, and he married Sarah Elizabeth Ditch on Sept. 2, 1828 in Monroe County, IL. I have a copy of their marriage license, but it doesn't give me any background information on either individual.

In the 1850 census, Sarah has remarried, but she lists these Dement children as living with her and her new husband: Austin, b. 1829, Lewis, b. 1834, Norman, b. 1839, and Zopher, b. 1841.

If you have any information about Levi Dement -- know where and when he died, who his parents were, etc., I would be grateful, and happy to share the details of what I have learned so far.
