We are trying to find any information on Elias Cranford. We have been led to believe that he who came from Rockingham, NC and owned land in Chester, SC. He married a daughter of Abner Wilkes and left Chester, SC in 1808. He enlisted in the army in 1813 from Jasper county, GA and served from Aug 25,1813 to march 8, 1815. We have not been able to confirm this. We are most interested in his children and trying to find out if he was indeed the father of William Henry Cranford and/or John Calvin Cranford.
