My fourth great grandfather was David Cochran. He was born in Maryland about 1774. In 1807, I found him on the tax rolls of North Mahoning Township, Indiana County, PA. His children were; Matthew, b. abt. 1897,George, b. 1800 David, b. abt. 1802, James, b.1804, Mary Jane or Margaret, b, 1810, Rebecca, b.1808, Isaac, b. 1812 and William, b. 1815. David cochran's father wsd supposed to have immigrated from either Scotland or Ireland.
