David Clayton is my gggrandfather. I know next to nothing about him and would love help if anyone can help me. He had a daughter Sarah/Sally Clayton who married Jonathan Purnell and they had five children before moving to Illinois. I know that Sarah's father's name is David because after he died in 1834 she made a tapestry with a beautiful poem on it dedicated to her father and dated it.That tapestry is still in the family. I am trying to find the Clayton's that David came from Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Sarah was born in Smyma, Delaware.
