James S Butler/Samuel Liberty Butler

I am looking for birth and death dates for both of these men. I believe they were both born in Kentucky and Samuel would have been born around 1817/1818. James probably died before 1850. Samuel moved around quite a bit and eventually ended up in California where he died sometime after 1890. (He appeared on the 1890 Census.)
