John Butler from South Carolina to Alabama

I have hit a brick wall trying to find info on John Butler abt 1810 South Carolina. I know that he lived in Perry County, AL in 1832 where he married Epsey Golden. He then moved to Turkeytown , Cherokee County, AL and later Etowah County, AL.He was disinherited from his family. I would love to hear from anyone searching for this family or any Butlers in AL.
