There were many William Bensons in Marshall County at the same time as my gg grandfather. I hope to meet someone who can help me prove which one was him. His first wife must have died. He had a son named John Harvey Benson that was born Jan. 22, 1873. William married Sarah E. Parker August 1975 in Marshall Co., AL. She listed John as her step son on the 1880 census. William wasn't in the house at that time. I don't know where he was but William and Sarah had 3 children together. They were Charles (1880), Maggie (1887) and Zachariah (1893). About 1893 William died and Sarah and her children moved to Ellis County, Texas. I would like to have any info on William such as his birth year, parents, first wifes name or death record. Any help is appreciated.
