2. ROME SMITH2 BARTON (??1) was born August 1863 in Illinois (1900 Iowa census). He married SHIRLEY(SP?) WELLS, daughter of ?? WELLS and ??. She was born February 1863 in Wisconsin.

Notes for ROME SMITH BARTON:
My dad (Roy Walter Barton) says that he remembers going to see Rome Smith in KS. He believes he died between 1931-1939 in the Topeka Area.
