Searching for ancestry of Nancy Jane Bailey. Nancy was born Sept 15, 1834 in Amsterdam, Montgomery Co, NY. On the 1840 census we have found Nathan Bailey listed with 3 female children ages:
1 bet 5 and 10 (Nancy would have been 6)
2 under 5 (Nancy had 2 sisters, Helen (Wilson) and Sarah (Eggleston). We have no indication that Nancy ever had a brother.
Nancy married Levi W. Stearns, Feb 21, 1850, in Amsterdam. They removed to Freeborn, MN the same year.
